Most hand sanitisers make a simple trade: kill germs, dry out skin. Delphis Eco's alcohol-free foam breaks that deal. The active ingredient is a twin-chain Benzalkonium chloride quaternary ammonium biocide — a formulation class with broad-spectrum activity against bacteria, moulds, yeasts, algae, and enveloped viruses. Independent testing to EN14476 confirms efficacy against enveloped viruses; EN1276 and EN13697 cover bacterial kill; EN1650 covers yeasts and moulds. That is a wider tested range than most alcohol sanitisers carry.
Because there is no alcohol, the formula is non-flammable — relevant for commercial environments where storage and handling of flammable liquids adds compliance burden. It is also non-sticky, has high tolerance to organic soiling and hard water, and leaves no anionic residue that would interfere with subsequent cleaning steps.
