Most commercial sanitisers make you choose between something that actually works and something you feel comfortable using around food surfaces, staff, and drains. Delphis Eco's Anti-Bacterial Sanitiser does not ask you to make that trade-off.
The active ingredient is Didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC), a quaternary ammonium compound (QUAT) with well-established bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal activity against all enveloped viruses. It is the same class of chemistry used in hospital-grade disinfection — the difference here is what has been left out.
This formulation contains no chlorine bleaches, no triclosan, no EDTA, no NTA, and no APEs. It carries no perfumes or dyes. It is phosphate and phosphonate free, readily biodegradable, and safe in septic tanks when used as directed. It has also passed the EN ISO 4120 taint test, which means it will not affect the taste or smell of food in environments where that matters.
Key facts at a glance:
- Tested to EN1276, EN13697, and EN14476 — effective against bacteria, algae, moulds, and enveloped viruses
- EN ISO 4120 taint test safe — suitable for food preparation environments
- Dual-action: cleans and sanitises in a single step
- Safe on paint, metal, glass, and rubber
- Effective through a pressure washer
- 6-month shelf life post-dilution
- Not tested on animals
- Readily biodegradable
- 5L concentrate format — reduces packaging and transport impact versus ready-to-use equivalents
This is a commercial-grade product supplied as a concentrate, which means the 5L format goes considerably further than the volume suggests. Dilution rates and application guidance are available in the Mini Guide and Information Sheet provided by Delphis Eco.
It is a practical fit for commercial kitchens, food service environments, hospitality, and any professional setting where verified disinfection performance is non-negotiable but the chemical load on surfaces, people, and drainage systems still matters.

About Our Brand Delphis Eco
Cleaning products have long presented a dilemma, forcing a compromise between effective formulations and environmental responsibility. Delphis Eco was founded to resolve this, creating high-performance ecological cleaning solutions suitable for both professional and domestic environments.
What truly sets Delphis Eco apart is the rigorous environmental integrity behind their products. They hold B Corp certification and their entire product range carries the EU Ecolabel, a standard demanding independently verified environmental performance rather than self-declared claims. Their formulations are plant-based, utilising renewable botanical sources instead of petrochemicals.
Under CEO Mark's leadership, Delphis Eco's commitment to sustainability extends throughout their entire operation, aiming for 100% sustainability across manufacturing processes and daily operational decisions. This embeds their environmental commitment structurally, ensuring it is a foundational principle of the company's behaviour rather than a superficial marketing add-on.
