Certifications:
Clingfilm is one of the hardest single-use plastics to give up in a professional kitchen, because the replacements rarely cope with the volume. This one is built for that job: a full catering roll in a compostable film.
What you get:
- Thickness: 12 microns, which the brand says gives it the same performance and reliability as traditional plastic film in busy commercial kitchens
- Size: 44cm wide x 200m long, sized for the hotel, restaurant and catering (HORECA) trade
- Uses: wrapping, covering and preserving a wide range of food items
- Material type: certified compostable film, described by the brand as a plastic-free alternative to conventional clingfilm
Why it matters in a kitchen: A 200m roll gets used quickly in catering, so the choice of film adds up fast. Swapping the roll you already reach for is the easiest kind of change, because nothing about the routine has to alter. Every choice adds up.
The brand states the film is HORECA certified and decomposes naturally, leaving no harmful residues. The source does not name the certifying body or the standard, so we have not reproduced one here.
