Most tea towels are quietly made of microfibre, which is plastic. These aren't. This set of two from Wild & Stone is 100% organic cotton, so the only thing going down the plughole is washing water.
The herringbone weave is the thing to know about. That distinctive V-shape, named after the skeleton of a herring, is what Wild & Stone say makes the towels so absorbent for drying dishes and mopping up spills. Each towel weighs 85g, so they are light enough to dry quickly between uses.
