There is something quietly satisfying about a salt bowl that looks like it was made by an actual person. These small condiment bowls from Habulous are thrown and finished by hand in their Dartmoor studio, using British clay — which means no two are identical in shape, line pattern, or glaze depth. The raw, flecked clay exterior is left exposed on the outside, giving each piece a grounded, tactile quality that sits well on a kitchen table without trying too hard.
Each bowl comes with a matching mini wonky spoon, sized to fit. The set is sold as one bowl and one spoon.
Available in six glaze colours — Off-White, Light Yellow, Pale Pink, Cornflower Blue, Mint Green, and Slate Grey — and in either a plain or patterned finish. The patterned versions carry random line designs, applied by hand, so the pattern on yours will differ from the images shown. That is the point.
The bowls are lightweight and stackable, which makes them practical for everyday use as well as easy to store. They work for salt and pepper, but also for any small condiment — flaky sea salt, dried chilli, a pinch of spice kept close to the hob.
