Our beautiful stoneware plates feature a contemporary design with raised edges, perfect for keeping gravies and sauces neatly on the plate. These durable platters combine strong, clean lines with a slender shape, setting the scene for a beautifully presented table.
Style them with other pieces from the collection, adding table linen, natural table mats, and flowers for a standout look. Alternatively, keep it simple for a minimal feel that focuses all attention on the food itself.
Every piece is handcrafted on a wheel using traditional pottery methods, a craft practised in the Thimi area of Nepal for generations. Thimi is one of Nepal's oldest and most important pottery-making villages, home to over 100 potters who have kept this craft alive by passing it from one generation to the next. Traditionally, this caste-based occupation is carried out by members of the Newar Kumale caste, bearing the surname Prajapati.
