The drawings that end up on the fridge are usually the ones that mean the most. This mug turns one of them into something you can use every morning.
You upload your child's artwork as a JPEG. Habulous scales it to fit the mug, then recreates it by hand as an outline illustration on a soft white glaze. Each mug is made to order, so no two are identical.
What to expect:
- Simple line drawings, stick figures and bold doodles translate best onto ceramic
- Artwork is recreated as an outline only. Colour is not available because of the hand-drawn technique
- Fine detail is simplified. The character of the drawing is kept, but not every line
- Because each piece is handmade and hand drawn, yours may differ slightly from the photos
Personalise the back: You can add a name or nickname to the back of the mug, either in Habulous's signature font or in your child's own handwriting. For the handwriting option, type yes into the 'Personalised with their Handwriting' box, and upload the drawing and the handwriting in the same image.
Getting a good result: The quality of the hand-drawn result reflects the quality of your image. Send a clear, in-focus photo taken in good natural light.
Who it suits: It works as a gift for Father's Day, for grandparents, or for a mum who would rather drink her tea from something with a story. It is sold individually.
Lead time: Habulous aims to create, finish and dispatch within 7 days. It can occasionally take a little longer, as each mug is fired in a kiln.
