Thimi is one of Nepal's oldest and most significant pottery-making villages, home to over 100 potters who keep this vital craft alive by passing it down through generations. Traditionally, this caste-based occupation is carried out by members of the Newar Kumale caste, bearing the surname Prajapati, ensuring these ancient skills endure.
