Every Green Island Coconut Bowl starts as a discarded coconut shell — the kind that would otherwise go to waste after the flesh and water are harvested. Artisans in Vietnam sand, polish, and finish each one by hand with natural coconut oil, which is what gives the surface its warm, low-sheen finish and helps protect the grain over time. Because each shell is unique, no two bowls look exactly alike.
At 13cm wide and 6cm deep with a 500ml capacity, it is the right size for a smoothie bowl, a Buddha bowl, a generous portion of granola, or a salad for one. The shape is naturally stable and the weight is lighter than ceramic — easy to hold in one hand while you eat.
