There are twelve birth flowers, one for each month, and Habulous has made a considered choice about which flower represents each. The result is a set of stoneware mugs that feel personal in a way most personalised gifts do not — because the design is made by hand, not printed by machine.
The process matters here. Each floral motif is painted by hand using a wax-resist method: the design is applied, the mug is glazed, and when it is fired the wax burns away to leave a clean, delicate silhouette. No two are identical. Habulous makes these in small batches at their studio in Great Britain, using British clay — which means the piece you receive has been touched by a maker at every stage.
The mug itself is built for daily use. The flared base and generous width give it a stable, comfortable feel in the hand, and the 400ml capacity means a proper-sized drink. Stoneware retains heat longer than earthenware or porcelain, so your coffee stays warmer for longer. The internal glaze is smooth and food-safe.
