One small bowl, two jobs you probably do with a knife and a board. Pull thyme, rosemary or other woody herbs through the appropriate hole and the leaves drop into the bowl, stems left in your hand. Then use the hand-carved grater in the base to turn garlic or ginger into a puree. Less chopping, less mess, and a piece that looks good enough to leave on the worktop.
Why the glaze looks the way it does: the glaze on the grater may look thin or broken. That is intentional, because it allows finer grating. Habulous states the glaze is tested and approved food safe.
