Every planter is individually wheel-thrown in the Habulous Dartmoor studio using flecked stoneware clay before being finished in a warm blush pink satin glaze and carefully decorated with hand-painted stripes. The subtle movement of the brush and the natural variations in the glaze mean no two planters are ever exactly alike.

Care: To keep your handmade stoneware looking its best, wash gently with warm, soapy water and avoid sudden changes in temperature.

Our planters are not glazed inside, so we recommend keeping your plants in their plastic grow pots rather than planting directly into the stoneware. If your plastic grow pot is slightly too tall, you can carefully trim the top so it sits neatly inside. We've created a short video to show you how.

As every planter is wheel-thrown and hand-painted, slight variations in shape, glaze and brushwork are all part of the handmade process. You may also notice areas where the pink stripes appear stronger, particularly towards the base. This is a natural result of hand glazing and part of what makes every planter unique.
