The off-white glaze is deliberately understated — it works on a windowsill, a shelf, a desk, or a mantelpiece without competing with anything around it. If you want more colour, Habulous also makes these birds in pastel shades, so you can build a flock.
Air plants are one of the more forgiving ways to bring greenery indoors. They need no soil, which means no mess, and they sit neatly in the bird's back. If you are new to air plants, an Ionantha or a Capitata Peach is a good place to start — both are compact and relatively easy to care for. If you are more confident, a Caput or Juncifolia will give you something more dramatic.
