Betty the Butterfly is one of Habulous's plant hugger characters: a blue butterfly made by hand in Devon, designed to perch on a houseplant stem, sit in a terrarium, or claim a spot on any surface that needs a little life.
Each piece is made from British clay and recycled glass, which means no two are identical. The glass colours may vary slightly from those shown, and there may be natural dark mottling in the glass — both are features of the material, not flaws. That is what handmade from recycled materials actually looks like, and it is worth knowing before you buy.
The wire is fine and flexible. It works best when gently wrapped around a sturdy plant stem rather than bent at sharp angles, which can cause it to break. Treat it with the same care you would give a piece of jewellery and it will hold its shape.
