Handmade Ceramic Jellyfish Air Plant Hanging

Handmade Ceramic Jellyfish Air Plant Hanging
Each jellyfish is hand-pinched, bisque-fired, individually illustrated, and dipped in Habulous's own turquoise glaze before being hand-strung — no two are identical, and the living air plant inside is matched to the ceramic shell by the maker.

There is something genuinely delightful about these. A hand-pinched ceramic jellyfish, glazed in Habulous's own turquoise or pale blue, strung up and fitted with a living air plant that trails from the bell like tentacles. It is a hanging decoration that does something a print or a candle cannot: it grows.
Every piece goes through the same careful sequence — hand-pinched, bisque-fired, individually illustrated, dipped in glaze, fired again, then hand-strung. Because each one is made by hand at Habulous's studio in Great Britain using British clay, no two are the same. The ceramic shell is matched to the air plant by the maker, so what arrives is a considered pairing, not a random combination.
Three air plant varieties are available, each with a different character:
- Ionantha Jellyfish — compact and tufted, approximately W2.5–4.5cm x H4–8cm
- Caput Jellyfish — tall and slender, approximately W2–3cm x H10–15cm
- Capitata Peach Jellyfish — the showiest of the three, approximately W8–12cm x H8–12cm
- Juncifolia Jellyfish — fine, grass-like foliage
- XL Caput — the large-format version of the slender Caput variety
All dimensions are approximate. Air plants vary in their stage of growth and colouring, so yours may differ noticeably from the images — that is the nature of a living, handmade thing rather than a flaw.
Shell colours available: Turquoise or Pale Blue.
The price is for one Jellyfish Air Plant.
They work well in bathrooms and any room with reasonable humidity and indirect light. You can mix and match varieties to build your own bloom of jellyfish — Habulous also makes a pastel stone version if you want to vary the palette.
How to care for your air plant: Air plants are low-maintenance but not no-maintenance. They need bright, indirect light and regular misting or a weekly soak (around 20–30 minutes in room-temperature water), then left to dry fully before being returned to the shell. Good airflow helps. Habulous has a care guide and video available on their website covering general care, stringing, and gifting advice — worth watching before you hang yours up.
Please note: Air plants are perishable. Some natural browning is normal. If your plant arrives damaged in transit, contact Habulous immediately with images — they can only exchange or refund for transit damage reported promptly.
