Handmade in Great Britain from British clay, these Shoreline planters are fired so the interior stays unglazed — natural clay is genuinely better for plant roots than a sealed surface, and the speckled turquoise and pink glazes are the kind of thing you notice every time you walk past them.

There is a particular satisfaction in a planter that is good for the plant as well as the room. Habulous leaves the inside of each Shoreline pot unglazed deliberately — natural fired clay breathes, which helps regulate moisture around roots in a way a sealed interior simply cannot.
The glazes themselves are what make these. The turquoise reads like shallow sea water in summer light. The pink is speckled, with a gradient that shifts across the surface — no two pieces come out of the kiln identically, which is the point. The natural clay visible between the two glazes fires to a warm sandy tone that ties the whole palette together.
Because every pot is thrown and glazed by hand in small batches, yours will differ slightly from the images. The glaze reacts differently in different areas of the kiln — some patches will be deeper, some paler. The last product image gives a honest reference for the kind of variation to expect. This is not a flaw; it is what handmade looks like.
Available individually or as sets — useful if you are building out a shelf or windowsill arrangement, or looking for a gift that does not need much wrapping to look considered.
