The Caput air plant features a large bulb and thick, velvety, long green rigid tendrils, which give it its more common name, 'Caput Medusae'. When it blooms, this air plant produces striking tubular blue-red flowers.
This variety of air plant prefers bright, mild sunlight and ideally humid surroundings with good air circulation. Regular misting, 2-3 times weekly, is recommended. Since the bulb is hollow, it's important not to soak the plant.
Air plants are excellent for terrariums or as a replacement for your Habulous Air Plant Jellyfish. They are fantastic, low-maintenance pieces for home decor because they don't require soil; just the right amount of watering and light as mentioned above.
