There is something quietly satisfying about a well-made object that does exactly one thing well. Habulous's ceramic match striker pot is that object. Thrown by hand in Great Britain using British clay, each pot is a small-batch piece — which means yours will carry the subtle individuality that only handcraft produces.
The pot is sized to hold up to 100 long matches (7cm length), with a striker pad set into the base so everything you need is in one place. It sits at approximately 6.5cm diameter by 6.5cm tall — compact enough for a windowsill or bathroom shelf, substantial enough to feel considered rather than fiddly.
Matches are a straightforward swap from disposable lighters, and a pot this good-looking makes the swap easy to stick to. The pale pink glaze pairs with Habulous's pastel tealight holders if you want to build out the look.
A few things worth knowing:
- The pot holds up to 100 matches
- Match length: 7cm
- Dimensions: D6.5cm × H6.5cm
- Striker pad is on the base — it will wear over time, and replacement strike pads and matches are available separately from Habulous
- Match quantities are approximate, as they are measured by weight
- Because each pot is handmade, yours may vary slightly from the images — that is the point
Variants available:
- Match colour: White or Pastel Mix
- Quantity: 50 matches or 100 matches (the 100-match option includes a spare striker pad)
