There is something quietly satisfying about a match pot that is actually worth keeping on the mantelpiece. Habulous makes these in their Dartmoor studio, by hand, using British clay — which means no two are identical, and the mint green glaze on yours will be its own thing.
The pot is sized to hold up to 100 of the 7cm long matches, with a strike pad fixed to the base so lighting is straightforward. When the pad eventually wears out, replacement pads and matches are available separately, so the pot itself keeps going indefinitely. That is the point: one well-made ceramic object instead of a succession of plastic lighters.
You choose your match quantity and colour at checkout. Matches come in white or a pastel mix, and the pot pairs with Habulous's matching pastel tealight holders if you want to build out the set.
