Socko's metal needle threaders work on a hook mechanism rather than a wire loop. A robust metal hook passes through the eye of the needle, catches the thread or yarn, and pulls it through cleanly. No squinting, no licking the end of the thread, no frustration. The brand's own description puts it well: you can do it with your eyes closed.
Each pack contains two threaders, one with a 0.25cm hook and one with a 0.5cm hook, so you are covered for finer hand-sewing needles as well as larger-eyed needles used for wool and thicker fibres.

How to use: Insert the metal hook through the eye of the needle. Loop your thread or yarn over the hook. Pull the hook back through the eye, drawing the thread with it. The hook on each end means you can catch yarn from either direction for successful threading every time.
