The Guppyfriend Washing Bag is a simple yet effective tool for anyone looking to reduce their environmental impact. Every time we wash synthetic textiles, tiny plastic microfibres are released and end up in our waterways, contributing to ocean pollution.
This innovative wash bag acts as a filter, preventing those microfibres from escaping into the wastewater. Simply place your synthetic garments inside the bag, zip it up, and wash as usual. The smooth surface of the bag also helps to reduce friction on your clothes, which can extend their lifespan by minimising fibre breakage.
After washing, remove your clothes and collect any trapped microfibres from inside the bag. These can then be disposed of responsibly in your household waste, keeping them out of our oceans.
- Captures microfibres released during washing
- Protects garments from excessive friction, prolonging their life
- Easy to use and clean
- A practical step towards reducing microplastic pollution
How to use:
- Place synthetic textiles (e.g., fleece, sportswear, synthetic socks) inside the Guppyfriend Washing Bag.
- Zip the bag closed.
- Wash as normal with your regular laundry.
- After washing, remove the textiles from the bag.
- Collect any accumulated microfibres from the inside of the bag and dispose of them in your general waste bin.
