Most tea on the market is ground-down dust sealed in plastic-lined bags, optimised for convenience rather than flavour. They work in whole leaf and hand-blended infusions, which means every cup is closer to what the grower intended.
The sourcing is where the work happens. Camellios builds relationships with independent growers and celebrated tea farms globally, selecting leaves on the basis of quality and the grower's own standards for how the crop is produced. That kind of direct relationship is harder to maintain than buying from a commodity broker, but it is what makes the difference in the cup — and it is what gives Camellios confidence in what they are selling.
The packaging decision is worth noting specifically. Plastic-free and fully recyclable across the range is not the default in this category — most brands make an exception somewhere, usually for freshness or cost reasons. Camellios has not. Everything is blended in the UK, which keeps quality control close and reduces the supply chain steps between grower and customer.
