Why the bamboo matters: The handle is made from FSC 100% certified bamboo (licence code FSC C007915). FSC certification means the bamboo is assessed against the Forest Stewardship Council's principles and criteria, which include maintaining the forest ecosystem and upholding indigenous people's land rights. That is a useful point of difference from bamboo that is simply described as sustainable.
