Most nail brushes are plastic through and through: the handle, the bristles, the packaging. When the bristles eventually break off, they become microplastics that enter waterways and harm marine life. Wild & Stone's nail brush sidesteps that entirely.
The handle is FSC® certified beechwood — a certification that covers the wood from forest management through to finished product, verifying that the ecosystem, indigenous land rights, and long-term forest health are all maintained. The bristles are natural sisal fibre (agave sisalana), a plant that grows sword-like leaves up to two metres tall, is weeded by hand, and produces fibres known for exceptional durability. When this brush eventually reaches the end of its life, the whole thing goes back to the earth.
In use, the sisal bristles are firm enough to lift dirt and grime from under the nails, flexible enough to reach the nail bed, and gentle enough for children's hands. At 9.5 x 3.5 x 4.2 cm, it sits comfortably in the hand at the sink.

How to use: Wet the bristles under warm water and add soap or hand wash to the brush. Gently scrub the edge of the nails, focusing on the undersides of the nail bed. Rinse both the brush and hands well.
Care instructions: Allow the brush to air dry away from the damp sink to ensure mould or mildew does not grow on the bristles.
