The glass is kiln-fired over a hand-shaped, hand-painted ceramic base, and that firing gives the surface its gemstone-like look. It is also unusually smooth. The pooled glass feels like a pocket touchstone, and the Habulous team admit they cannot stop running their fingers over it.
