There is a reason the peacock is India's national bird. The feathers carry centuries of symbolism — prosperity, protection, the particular blue that appears nowhere else in nature. Rize has taken that motif and made it wearable: a solid sterling silver cuff, 15mm wide, with each feather individually hand-cut and filled with peacock blue enamel by artisans based in Jaipur.
The base is recycled sterling silver throughout. The design is available in two finishes — plain sterling silver, or with a 22k gold plate at 1 micron — so the same piece reads differently depending on how you wear it. The enamel work, known in the Indian craft tradition as meenakari, requires steady hands and years of practice. You can see it in the finish.
Every piece is handmade by artisans from marginalised communities in Jaipur, working under Fair Trade conditions. Rize also directs 10% of every sale to two children's charities in Bangalore — so the purchase does something beyond the wrist it ends up on.
