Merino wool does something synthetic fibres cannot: it regulates temperature naturally, wicking moisture away when you are working hard and retaining warmth when you cool down. At 66% merino, these hipSwan trainer socks carry enough of the fibre to make that difference felt — whether you are on the golf course, mid-run, or three sets into a squash match.
The construction details are where they earn their keep:
- Compression arch — supports the foot during extended activity and reduces fatigue
- Anti-blister tab — sits at the heel to prevent friction at the sock-shoe interface
- Seamless toe — eliminates the ridge that causes hot spots on longer efforts
- Cushioned soles and heels — extra padding where impact is highest
The 30% Lycra spandex content means they hold their shape wash after wash, and the single "one size fits most" sizing (23–25cm foot length, UK shoe size 6–8) keeps things simple.
Available in navy, black, and natural undyed, with bundle options of 1 pair, 3-pack (saving 5%), or 6-pack (saving 20%). Each order supports the planting of one tree.
Composition: 66% merino wool, 4% nylon, 30% Lycra spandex
Sizing: One size fits most — 23–25cm foot length, equivalent to UK shoe size 6–8. Not gender specific.
Care instructions: Be gentle. Either hand wash or machine wash in cold water on the gentle cycle. If using a machine, it is best to place them in a laundry bag to protect them further, just like other delicates. Use a mild detergent and never use bleach or fabric softener.
Turn your socks inside out. This way, the extra cushioning at the soles and heels will get a more thorough wash.
Do not use a dryer. The heat and circulation of a dryer will decrease the longevity of your socks. Best to air dry them on a drying rack.
Do not iron. There is no need to iron socks, and it is especially important to refrain from ironing those styles with silicone grippers.
