The Inspection print was designed by Eliza Mackay, a London-based artist who has collaborated with Heiko Clothing from the beginning and is the sole designer behind their Zodiac collection. It is the kind of artwork that makes a garment worth keeping — and keeping is exactly the point.
The fabric is 100% GOTS certified organic cotton, which means the certification covers the entire journey from field to finished garment, not just the raw fibre. Organic cotton is noticeably softer than conventional alternatives, and the environmental difference is significant: organic cotton cultivation uses up to 90% less water than standard cotton farming.
Every tee is printed to order, which means nothing is produced speculatively and nothing sits in a warehouse waiting to be discounted. The inks used are water-based and environmentally friendly — a detail that matters when you consider how much conventional garment printing relies on plastisol inks that do not break down.
