The IMperfectionists X Recovo Deadstock T-shirt is a collaboration born from a shared commitment to addressing textile waste in the fashion industry. Our designer, Dilayla, created this piece for the 'Minimal Living' collection to highlight the staggering 92 million tonnes of waste generated annually by fast fashion.
By using deadstock textiles, this t-shirt makes a statement about circularity and the added value of garments made from reclaimed materials. Our partnership with Recovo, a company dedicated to communicating the message of circularity and encouraging the use of credentials to prove contributions to circular fashion, has led to tangible environmental savings:
- Saved 2332 litres of water
- Saved 3 kg of CO2 emissions
- Saved 8 g of PO4
Recovo is also a proud member of the Textile Exchange Community, a global non-profit that fosters leadership in the preferred fibre and materials industry. This collaboration is a step towards a more sustainable future, offering a timeless piece that champions resourcefulness and reduces environmental impact.
Composition:
- 100% Deadstock cotton
How to take care of me / washing instructions: Longer the use better for our environment, so please apply the following for a longer use
- Wash in cold (30°C or below) water
- Give garments a gentle stretch when they come out of the wash to get them back into shape.
- Always air dry: dry clothes flat and out of the sun if possible.

About Our Brand IMperfectionists
IMperfectionists was founded to disrupt the conventional fashion industry's cycle of overconsumption and textile waste. By focusing on versatile, gender-neutral designs, the brand creates timeless pieces intended to be cherished and worn for many years, directly addressing the environmental impact of fleeting trends.
What truly sets IMperfectionists apart is their commitment to a limited release model, producing only what they can sell. This deliberate approach minimises excess inventory and environmental impact, ensuring each garment is made with purpose and moving away from the seasonal collection cycles that often contribute to fast fashion's waste problem.
A unique aspect of IMperfectionists' production is their innovative use of textile waste. Instead of discarding leftover fabric scraps, they actively upcycle these materials into new, usable items, such as transforming sweatshirt production offcuts into practical tote bags, demonstrating a full-circle approach to material management.
