A plastic-free fruit and veg shop starts with a bag that does the job every week. This pack of three gives you a small, medium and large bag in unbleached organic cotton, made to be used again and again rather than once and binned.
Each bag carries a colourful label printed with its tare weight, which is simply the weight of the bag itself. At supermarket and bulk food store checkouts, that makes it easy to work out what your produce weighs without the bag counted in.
The natural cotton fibres are breathable, and the brand says this keeps produce fresher than plastic bags do. The bags can go straight into the fridge, so they work for storage as well as carrying. They suit fruit, vegetables and bakery items from the supermarket or the farmers' market.
