The Noir pepper grinder is one of those objects that earns its place on the table rather than just occupying it. The body is turned from beechwood and dyed in four colours — Ebony Black, Walnut Brown, Cherry Red, and Ash White — so the grain of the wood remains visible beneath the finish. No two are identical in the way that only natural materials allow.
The mechanism is a crushgrind ceramic system, adjustable to your preferred coarseness. Ceramic grinds cleanly, does not rust, and does not transfer any metallic taste to the pepper — which matters more than it sounds when you are using a good peppercorn.
