Gua sha is a traditional Chinese technique that uses the gentle sweeping and pressing of a stone against the skin of the face, neck, and upper chest to stimulate circulation in the layers of skin and soft tissue. In two hours, you will go from curious beginner to someone who has a full routine they can repeat at home.
Silvan Skincare runs these workshops in small groups of up to eight people at Silia Cottage in Presteigne, Powys — an intentionally intimate setting where you can ask questions and practise properly rather than watch from the back of a room.
What the workshop covers:
- How to look after your gua sha stone
- How to hold and move the stone against your face
- Which products to use with the stone and why
- A full routine covering warm-up, definition, lifting, lymphatic drainage, and cool-down
- Targeted sequences for lips, cheeks, eyes, and forehead
- Stimulating acupressure points
You will leave with a complimentary workbook so the sequences stay with you after the day.

What to bring:
Bring your own gua sha stone if you have one. If not, stones are available to purchase on the day at £25 each. Silvan Skincare facial oils and the full product range are available to sample and buy on the day if you wish.
