There is a particular kind of winter warmth that comes from a room that smells of ginger and clove — not the synthetic version you find in most seasonal candles, but the real thing. Bouclé uses 100% pure essential oils in every pour, which means the stem ginger is genuinely sweet and spiced, the clove has real depth, and the rosemary lifts the whole blend with something fresh and herbaceous rather than letting it tip into cloying.
This is a limited seasonal scent, made in small batches by Ben and Louise — the founders of Bouclé — in Brighton. The soy wax burns slower and cleaner than paraffin, and the cotton wicks keep the flame steady without producing unnecessary soot. Three sizes are available: 120ml with a 25-hour burn time, 180ml with a 40-hour burn time, and a 500ml double-wick version that runs to 50 hours — the larger format is the one worth considering if you want it to carry a room rather than a corner.

Safety information: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn for at least 2 hours each burn and never longer than 4 hours. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Always leave at least 10cm between candles. Do not burn on or near anything that can catch fire. Trim wicks to approximately 6mm before lighting. Always extinguish the candle and do not relight when the wax level is less than 1cm.
