There is something genuinely useful about understanding what goes into your skincare. This workshop, run by Silvan Skincare at Silia Cottage in Presteigne, Powys, gives you two hours to get into the detail — smelling, feeling, and learning about base oils, infused oils, and essential oils before blending a facial oil that is formulated specifically for your skin type, concerns, and scent preferences.
You will not leave with a generic product. The whole point is that the oil you make is yours — built around what your skin actually needs, in a ratio that works for you. Silvan Skincare's approach to formulation is the same whether they are making products for their own range or teaching someone else to do it: organic plant oils, chosen for their properties, combined with intention.
The session also covers a facial massage routine designed to get the most from the oil you have made. It is a practical technique you can take home and use as part of your daily routine.
