On Thursday 14th May 2026, from 6.30 to 8.30pm at The Globe in Hay-on-Wye, Marian Hardiman walks a small group through the building blocks of botanical skincare: base oils, infused oils, and essential oils — what each does, how they interact, and how to choose the right combination for your skin type or specific conditions.
By the end of the evening, you will have made a facial oil formulated specifically for your skin, and you will know a facial massage sequence to apply it to maximum effect. That sequence is the part most people skip, and it is the part that makes the difference.

Marian is an experienced massage therapist and facial massage teacher based in Presteigne. She is also the founder of Silvan Skincare, an award-winning botanical skincare brand that formulates and makes its products in small batches in Presteigne using organic and sustainable plant-based ingredients. Silvan Skincare holds Leaping Bunny certification and is registered with The Vegan Society.
