Solid body butters make a lot of sense once you try one. Strip out the water that makes a standard lotion pourable, and what you are left with is a concentrated hit of the ingredients that actually do the work. Sintra Naturals' body butter bar is built around cocoa butter — one of the richest plant butters available — combined with grapeseed oil for lighter absorption and candelilla wax to hold the whole thing in bar form without any animal-derived ingredients.
The result is something that melts on contact with skin, absorbs without leaving a greasy film, and is particularly good on the areas that take the most punishment: hands, elbows, heels, and feet. The bar format also means it travels well and lasts longer than an equivalent lotion — no pump, no lid to lose, no spillage.
Two scents are available. Lavender uses Lavandula angustifolia flower oil — the real thing, not a synthetic approximation — for a calm, grounding finish. Peppermint uses Mentha piperita oil, which gives a cool, uplifting sensation that works well after a long day on your feet. Both are scented with essential oils only; there are no artificial fragrances in either variant.
The tin version comes in a reusable metal tin. Refills are available separately so you are not buying new packaging every time — a small detail that adds up.
