On Friday 20 March 2026, Silvan Skincare founder Marian Hardiman leads a combined day at Frith Meadow — an off-grid eco cabin nestled on the edge of ancient woodland just outside Presteigne in Powys. The day runs from 11am to 3pm and covers two distinct skills you will leave knowing how to use at home.
PART ONE — Make a bespoke facial oil
You will learn about base oils, infused oils, and essential oils, then formulate and make an oil matched to your specific skin type or conditions. The session also covers a facial massage sequence designed to help you apply the oil to maximum effect.
PART TWO — Gua Sha facial massage
Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese technique that uses the gentle sweeping and pressing of a stone against the skin on the face, neck, and upper chest to stimulate circulation in the layers of skin and soft tissue. You will learn how to give yourself a Gua Sha facial massage to:
- Contour and smooth the skin
- Support circulation and lymphatic drainage
- Encourage the skin's regenerating processes
- Relax muscle tension
About Marian Hardiman
Marian is an experienced massage therapist and facial massage teacher based in Presteigne. She is also the founder of award-winning Silvan Skincare, formulating and making botanical skincare products in Presteigne.
About Frith Meadow
