There is a particular kind of sunglasses that works for everything — the ones that look considered without trying too hard. A.Kjærbede's HELLO frame is that pair. Designed in Copenhagen and rooted in Scandinavian minimalism, it takes its cues from 60s Hollywood: square lenses, a sleek metal silhouette, and a rose gold finish that sits somewhere between classic and current.

The frame is made from recycled copper, and more than 50% of the total materials are recycled. The lenses are polycarbonate with UV 400 protection — the standard that blocks the full spectrum of UVA and UVB rays. High-quality optical hinges keep the fit consistent over time, and the frame is both nickel-free and BPA-free. A cleaning bag is included.

Key specifications:

  • Lens width: 54mm
  • Bridge: 20mm
  • Temple length: 135mm
  • Lenses: polycarbonate, UV 400
  • Frame: recycled copper, nickel-free, BPA-free
  • More than 50% recycled materials
  • Cleaning bag included

A.Kjærbede was founded in Copenhagen in 2017 with a straightforward brief: quality eyewear, well designed, at a price that does not require a second thought. Every collection is designed in-house and draws on Scandinavian culture — photography, architecture, art — translated into frames that are minimal without being anonymous.

About Our Brand Komodo

Komodo has spent over three decades proving that sustainable fashion does not have to be a compromise between style and conscience. Founded in 1988, the brand set out to show that contemporary clothing design and genuine environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive, a challenge they continue to meet with each collection.

What distinguishes Komodo in practice is their material choices. Rather than relying on conventional fabrics, they work with organic and natural eco-fibres, incorporate green PU coating, and use recycled PET derived from plastic bottles. The majority of their products are vegan, and all are produced without cruelty, commitments that go beyond labelling and into the fabric of how each garment is made.

Komodo has also taken the deliberate step of eliminating single-use plastics from their supply chain entirely. This is not a target or an aspiration; it is already done. For a fashion brand operating since the late 1980s, that level of supply chain discipline reflects a consistency of values that is rare in an industry still catching up to where Komodo started.
