Yellow Transparent Oval Cat-Eye Sunglasses

Yellow Transparent Oval Cat-Eye Sunglasses
Built from more than 50% recycled materials and fully BPA-free, the ELLA frames from A.Kjaerbede pair UV 400 polycarbonate lenses with moldable metal-core temples — the kind of construction detail that separates sunglasses you keep for years from ones you replace every summer. Sold by Komodo, a brand that has been doing this since 1988.

The ELLA is a slightly oversized take on the classic cat-eye — narrow oval lenses set at an upright angle in a wide-temple frame that reads strong and feminine at the same time. The yellow transparent finish gives it the kind of presence that works with a plain white shirt as well as it does with anything more considered.
The frame is built to last. Moldable temples with a metal core mean you can adjust the fit to your face rather than accepting whatever shape they arrived in — a small detail that makes a real difference over time. The hinges are high-quality optical grade, which is what keeps the frame from loosening after a season of regular use.
On the lens side, polycarbonate is the right choice here: lighter than glass, more impact-resistant, and fully capable of carrying UV 400 protection — which blocks 100% of UVA and UVB rays up to 400 nanometres.
The material story is straightforward: more than 50% recycled materials, BPA-free throughout, and described by the brand as eco-friendly. A cleaning bag is included.

About Our Brand Komodo
Komodo has spent over three decades proving that sustainable fashion does not have to be a compromise between style and conscience. Founded in 1988, the brand set out to show that contemporary clothing design and genuine environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive, a challenge they continue to meet with each collection.
What distinguishes Komodo in practice is their material choices. Rather than relying on conventional fabrics, they work with organic and natural eco-fibres, incorporate green PU coating, and use recycled PET derived from plastic bottles. The majority of their products are vegan, and all are produced without cruelty, commitments that go beyond labelling and into the fabric of how each garment is made.
Komodo has also taken the deliberate step of eliminating single-use plastics from their supply chain entirely. This is not a target or an aspiration; it is already done. For a fashion brand operating since the late 1980s, that level of supply chain discipline reflects a consistency of values that is rare in an industry still catching up to where Komodo started.
