A traditional orchard wassail at The Cidery in Framfield, running 4–7pm on 16 January 2027 — three hours of mulled cider, torchlit rituals, craft activities, and raucous noise-making with Big Nose and Beardy, the Sussex cider makers who press their apples by hand using solar and water power.

Wassailing is one of the oldest orchard traditions in England: you gather in the dark, make as much noise as possible, ask the trees for a good harvest, and chase out anything that might stand in the way of it. Big Nose and Beardy are bringing it back to The Cidery on 16 January 2027, from 4pm to 7pm.
The evening starts in daylight with family-friendly activities, food from local producers, and cider on tap. As darkness falls, the torches go up and the real noise begins.

Cider Pack option: Book the Admission + Cider Pack ticket for a wassail-exclusive bundle: five different Big Nose and Beardy ciders, a small bottle of their Spirit of Cider, and mulling spices to take home. The pack is one third off normal prices and is included in the ticket price. Your carry-home box will be ready to collect on the night.
