Some trainers end up in landfill because of a small scuff from a display stand or a minor cosmetic imperfection that never affected how they perform. Ration.L takes those pairs, refurbishes them, and sells them at a price that reflects their history — not their quality. This is the Mercury Black colourway of the R-Kind trainer, and it is the same shoe, made to the same standard, as a full-price pair.
The R-Kind is designed in Britain and built around a low-impact material stack. The upper is certified non-toxic eco PU, the hardware is recycled aluminium, the adhesive is water-based rather than solvent-based, and the laces are organic cotton. The packaging is 100% recycled and responsibly sourced. The shoe carries Vegan Society certification — independently verified, not self-declared.
For every pair sold, Ration.L donates 5% of profits to the Brain & Spine Foundation (Registered Charity No. 1098528), which supports people affected by neurological conditions.
