The myth behind the design: in Greek mythology, Pisces represents the fish into which Aphrodite and her son Eros transformed to escape Typhon, the father of all monsters, sent by Gaia to attack the gods. It is a story of transformation — which is a reasonable way to think about what Heiko is doing to the sweatshirt category.
The fabric is 85% GOTS certified organic cotton and 15% recycled polyester. Organic cotton uses significantly less water and no synthetic pesticides compared to conventional cotton. The recycled polyester component reduces reliance on virgin plastic. The result is a sweatshirt that is noticeably soft and breathable — not in spite of the ethical spec, but partly because of it.
Heiko Clothing sources exclusively from Fair Wear certified suppliers. Fair Wear is an independent organisation that audits factories against a code of labour practices covering wages, working hours, and workers' rights. That certification is not self-declared — it requires ongoing third-party verification.
