Most shampoo bars ask you to compromise somewhere — either they strip the hair, leave residue, or require an acid rinse to reset the pH. This one from Sintra Naturals is formulated to skip all of that.
The surfactant base is coconut-derived (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate and Sodium Lauryl Sulphoacetate), which means it lathers well without the harshness associated with conventional sulphate-heavy formulas. Both are 100% biodegradable. The bar is pH balanced, so there is no transition phase and no need for an apple cider vinegar rinse — you can switch straight from a liquid shampoo without the weeks of adjustment that some solid bars require.
Argan oil (Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil) is included for moisture retention — it adds bounce without the heaviness of butters or heavier oils. French Pink Clay revitalises the scalp and leaves a clean feeling after rinsing. Rosemary essential oil (Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Oil) is included for its known properties in stimulating the hair follicle. Iota Carrageenan, a food-grade vegan binder, gives the bar its firmness and helps it last between showers.

Each bar is hand-pressed and hand-moulded, so minor variations in shape are normal — a sign of the process, not a defect.

How to use: Run the bar under water, create a lather, and wash the hair. The bar lathers well and is straightforward to use. If this is your first shampoo bar, allow a few weeks of use before drawing conclusions — it takes a little practice to get the most from it.
Safety information: External use only. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use. Rosemary essential oil is not advised during pregnancy (the concentration used is below the threshold considered hazardous, but caution is recommended). Patch test recommended, particularly for children and sensitive scalps.
