Naked Body Butter

Most body butters are doing a lot of things at once — fragrance, preservatives, emulsifiers, fillers. This one is doing five things, and five things only.

Sintra Naturals built the Naked Body Butter around a specific problem: people with sensitive skin, allergies, or very young skin who cannot use most products on the market because of common irritants like almond oil or coconut oil. The answer was a formulation stripped back to four active ingredients plus vitamin E — nothing that does not earn its place.

Here is what each ingredient actually does:

• Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii) — the base of the formula. Rich in oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linolenic fatty acids, it supports the skin's natural collagen production and provides deep, lasting moisture. Its cinnamic acid content gives it anti-inflammatory properties, and the compound lupeol cinnamate has been studied for its ability to reduce skin inflammation.

• Mango butter (Mangifera indica seed butter) — pressed from the kernels of mango fruit, it is a natural source of vitamins A and C. Vitamin A helps reduce the appearance of fine lines; vitamin C supports a firmer, more plump-looking complexion. It provides a lasting type of moisturisation that goes beyond surface hydration.

• Grape seed oil (Vitis vinifera) — a byproduct of winemaking, which means the seeds are used rather than discarded. Its linoleic acid content integrates into cell membranes to fortify the skin barrier, while its antioxidants — including vitamin E and proanthocyanidins — help protect against pollution- and UV-induced free radical damage. Studies suggest its phytosterols may also help manage inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and rosacea.

• Arrowroot powder (Maranta arundinacea root powder) — the ingredient that makes this formula feel like a body butter rather than a grease. Arrowroot does not strip the skin's natural moisture; instead, it softens the surface layer and reduces the heaviness of the shea and mango butters, making the formula easier to absorb and more comfortable to wear.

• Tocopherol (vitamin E) — a natural antioxidant that replenishes lipids lost from the skin barrier and supports moisture retention.

No common allergens. No artificial preservatives. No fragrance. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, children, and newborn babies.

How to use: Apply to skin as needed. Suitable for body use. External use only.

• Use within 6 months of opening.
• The butter may soften or melt in warm weather — this is normal. Store in the fridge during summer months.
• If oil separation is visible on the surface, this is normal — simply mix before use.
