This is the soap for skin that has had enough. No fragrance, no palm oil, no artificial colourants — just eight ingredients, each chosen because it does something specific.
The base is olive oil, cold-processed and infused with dried calendula flowers before the bar is made. That infusion matters: calendula petals contain five bioactive compounds — oleanolic acid, lupeol, quercetin, α-amyrin, and β-amyrin — studied for antioxidant protection and skin-soothing properties. Olive oil itself is one of the gentler cleansing bases available, with anti-inflammatory properties that make it a reliable choice for eczema-prone or reactive skin.
Matcha green tea powder is where this bar earns its name. Matcha contains exceptionally high concentrations of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), an antioxidant compound associated with reducing inflammation, evening skin tone, and supporting skin elasticity. It is also antibacterial, which is why this bar works well for acne and blemish-prone skin without stripping or irritating.
Coconut oil and coconut powder work together here. The oil provides a rich, bubbly lather and helps lift dirt and dead skin cells without disrupting the skin barrier. The powder — a vegan alternative to dairy-based lather boosters — contributes natural sugars that produce a thick, creamy foam that feels moisturising rather than drying.
Shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii) rounds out the formula. It moisturises without clogging pores, contains vitamins A and E, and leaves no oily residue after absorption — which is why it appears in so many formulations for sensitive and baby skin.
