Compostable Cling Film and Recycled Tin Foil Pack

Compostable Cling Film and Recycled Tin Foil Pack
Two of the most wasteful single-use items in the average kitchen, sorted in one pack: a 30m roll of 100% certified compostable cling film made from 97% PBAT and 3% PLA, and a 10m roll of tin foil made from 100% post-consumer recycled aluminium that uses 95% less energy to produce than virgin foil. Eco Green Living makes the swap straightforward — no compromise on function, no plastic in the bin.

Most kitchens go through cling film and tin foil without a second thought. The problem is that standard cling film is near-impossible to recycle and takes hundreds of years to break down in landfill — and when it escapes into waterways, it eventually degrades into microplastics that turn up in seafood. Standard aluminium foil, meanwhile, draws on virgin metal extraction that accounts for 2.5% of total CO₂ emissions in Europe annually, with 800,000 tonnes of aluminium foil produced across the continent each year.
This pack from Eco Green Living addresses both at once.
Compostable Cling Film
Dimensions: 30cm × 30m Quantity: 30 metres
The cling film in this pack is made from 97% PBAT and 3% PLA — both plant-based materials, neither derived from petrochemicals. It carries 100% certified compostable status and will degrade within 6 months under composting conditions, compared to the hundreds of years standard plastic cling film takes in landfill.
It works the same way conventional cling film does:
- Covering food in the fridge or on the counter
- Wrapping fresh tattoos
- Covering paintbrushes between uses
- Any other everyday wrapping task
The key difference is what happens at the end of its life.
Recycled Tin Foil
Dimensions: 30cm × 10m Quantity: 10 metres
The foil is made from 100% post-consumer waste aluminium — every roll has had a previous life. Because recycled aluminium requires no energy-intensive extraction process, producing it uses 95% less energy than manufacturing virgin foil.
It performs the same jobs as standard foil:
- Keeping food fresh
- Lining baking trays
- Baking and roasting
- Craft projects
Eco Green Living built this range around the idea that sustainable swaps should not require extra effort or a drop in quality. Both products in this pack are direct replacements for what is already in your kitchen drawer — the only thing that changes is what ends up in landfill.
