Most dental floss is made from petroleum-derived nylon. Georganics took a different route: their Bionylon Floss is made from PA1010, a polyamide derived from castor oil — a renewable, plant-based source. The result is a floss that performs like conventional nylon (strong, smooth, resistant to shredding) without the fossil fuel dependency.
The spearmint flavour comes from spearmint essential oil rather than synthetic fragrance, which keeps the formula fluoride-free and free from artificial additives. It is gentle on gums while still doing the job: removing plaque and food particles from between teeth, which is where brushing alone cannot reach.
The dispenser is refillable, so once you have the first unit, subsequent purchases reduce plastic waste further. Each roll contains 50 metres.
