Sussex Foodie Hamper

Sussex Foodie Hamper
Assembled by Big Nose and Beardy — Sussex cider specialists who hand-pick apples from local orchards and press them using solar and water energy — this hamper brings together six vintage ciders, four Sussex cheeses, handmade chocolates from Rowdy and Fancies, chutney from Framfield Foods, and a bottle of slow-matured apple cider vinegar, all from small-scale producers they genuinely rate.

A hamper built around a single county and the people who make it taste this good.
Big Nose and Beardy started with cider — real vintage cider, made from apples hand-picked from private Sussex gardens and orchards, pressed using solar, water, and human energy. The result is something that tastes nothing like mass-produced alternatives, and this hamper puts that cider at the centre of a broader edit of Sussex producers they trust.
Every item has been chosen to sit alongside the cider and vinegar, not just fill the box. The four Sussex cheeses are sourced fresh when your order is placed — which is why this takes 7–10 days to ship, and why it arrives in better condition than a hamper assembled weeks in advance.
- 6 different batches from the Big Nose and Beardy vintage cider range (330ml each)
- 4 Sussex cheeses (sourced to order — refrigerate on receipt)
- 1 box of luxury sweet biscuits
- 1 box of Sussex cheese biscuits
- 1 jar of handmade chutney from Framfield Foods
- 1 x 50ml bottle of Spirit of Cider
- 1 x 250ml bottle of slow-matured Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 x 1 litre bottle of pasteurised Apple Juice
- 4 x 48g handmade chocolate bars from Rowdy and Fancies
- 1 Big Nose and Beardy cider glass
Please note: the cheese should be refrigerated on receipt. Not all items shown in the product photograph are included in the 2026 hamper. Allow 7–10 days for dispatch as the cheese is sourced fresh to order.

About Our Brand Big Nose and Beardy
Big Nose and Beardy specialises in producing authentic Sussex cider, offering a refreshing alternative to mass-produced beverages. Their focus on traditional methods and natural fermentation addresses the desire for enjoyable drinks made with transparency and care for their environmental impact.
What sets Big Nose and Beardy apart is their dedication to a closed-loop production system. They source the majority of their apples from local private gardens and orchards, hand-picking them with the help of volunteers. Their pressing process is powered by a combination of solar, water, and human energy, ensuring minimal reliance on external power sources.
Further demonstrating their commitment to sustainability, the apple pomace remaining after pressing is fed to local pigs and cows, effectively eliminating waste and enriching the local ecosystem. Their packaging, including metal bottle caps, lightweight glass bottles, and cardboard cases, is fully recyclable, reflecting a holistic approach to environmental responsibility from orchard to consumer.
